Sichuan Publishing and Printing Co., Ltd.
Sichuan Publishing and Printing Co., Ltd., formerly known as Sichuan Publishing and Printing Company and Sichuan Publishing Group Company, was established in March 1986. In accordance with the CFH [1992] No. 682 issued by the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, it is an enterprise owned by the whole people and specializing in teaching material rental, printing and supply, wholesales and retail.
With approval from the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, and established under the Sichuan Provincial Administration of Press and Publication, the Sichuan Publishing Group Company was founded in March 1993. Sichuan Publishing Group was created in 2003 and Sichuan Publishing Group Company was incorporated into Sichuan Publishing Group in the same year. In September 2009, Sichuan Publishing Group underwent a major transformation and changed from Sichuan Publishing Group Company into Sichuan Publishing and Printing Co., Ltd. which also subordinates to Sichuan Publishing Group. After business integration and assets restructuring in March 2010, Sichuan Publishing and Printing Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of Xinhua Winshare.
Since Sichuan Publishing and Printing Co., Ltd. took charge of the printing of teaching materials for all primary and secondary schools in Sichuan, its printing management and business quality have remained in leading positions across the country. With a large amount of high-quality primary and secondary school teaching material resources published by People’s Education Press, Beijing Normal University Publishing Group and other presses with original publications, Sichuan Publishing and Printing Co., Ltd. has the capacity to produce more than 2,300 types of books and up to over 270 million copies each year. The quality of its printing and production is constantly improving, and the company has fulfilled its mission of ensuring that every student receives the right textbooks before the start of each semester for 39 consecutive years. The company has been honored on multiple occasions including bronze prize for high-quality textbooks and teaching materials publishing (rental) companies, bronze prize for high-quality PEP edition textbooks and teaching materials rental companies and silver prize for high-quality textbooks and teaching materials publishing (rental) companies, issued by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, People’s Education Press and Sichuan Provincial Administration of Press and Publication. In addition, for many times the company has been named advanced home of staff by the Working Committee of Sichuan Provincial Organs directly under the CPC.
After the restructuring in March 2010, with the purpose of enhancing its core competence, Sichuan Publishing and Printing Co., Ltd. has prioritized the optimization of its business structure and operation model. The company established online printing information platform to realize resource sharing of teaching and associated materials printing information. A series of micro-management systems including teaching materials and associated teaching materials comparison and selection system as well as price negotiating system were established. Management continues to be standardized and business process optimized, leading to the formation of a highly-skilled professional team with outstanding management and top-notch services.
