Sichuan Xinhua Printing Co., Ltd.
Sichuan Xinhua Printing Plant was established as early as 1949 and after undergoing company transformation in 2010, it changed its name to Sichuan Xinhua Printing Co., Ltd. For decades, Sichuan Xinhua Printing Plant had always been one of the largest and most technologically sound state-owned companies in Sichuan's book and periodical printing sector. After the reform, Sichuan Xinhua Printing Co., Ltd. moved to the new production base at the Chengdu Longtan Economic City Headquarter in September 2010. Over an area of 100 mu (66,666.7 m2), the production base is bolstered with production workshops, warehouses and offices totaling an area of 60,000 m2. During that period, the company successively invested over RMB 80 million for all-round equipment and technology upgrades. In 2013 and 2015, by consolidating and absorbing the main production equipment and backbone personnel from two large state-owned printing holding companies – Sichuan Lianxiang Printing Company and Sichuan Xinhua Color Printing Company, Sichuan Xinhua Printing Co., Ltd. became the largest books and periodicals printing company in western China. In July 2014, the company officially joined Winshare and became its wholly-owned subsidiary.
Armed with world-class international and domestic printing equipment, the company boasts an annual color printing capacity of up to 6 million color reams, black and white printing capacity of 700,000 color reams and high-speed bookbinding capacity of 120 million copies. It is responsible for the template production, printing and bookbinding of about 230 types of teaching materials for all primary and secondary schools in Sichuan province. The company can produce about 70 million teaching materials each year. In addition, the company is in charge of the printing duties for more than 20 famous domestic periodicals including Qiu Shi, READERS, China Comment, Comic Guests and Global People, as well as the printing and bookbinding of a diverse array of books, painting albums, advertisements and promotional products for publishing companies in and out of Sichuan province. For many years, the company has accumulated a resounding reputation in many printing quality assessments across the province.
